Resumo: In this webinar we introduce a class of wave equations featuring delay effects on the velocity, as studied by Nicaise and Pignotti (SICON 2006). In order to show the asymptotic stability of the system, we recall the method of perturbed energy. We end the presentation with a short survey on the existing literature to this subject.
