The objective of this talk is to understand the generation and the propagation of the interface of an Allen-Cahn equation with nonlinear diffusion perturbed by a mild noise. The Allen-Cahn equation was introduced to understand the motion of the interface separating two different phases of a metal alloy. Instead of the usual linear diffusivity of the classical Allen-Cahn equation, we consider a density dependent diffusion term and perturb the reaction term by a mild noise. In particular, we describe how the nonlinear diffusion term affects the motion of the interface. This is joint work with Perla El Kettani, Yong Jung Kim and Hyunjoon Park.
