Abstract

In 1965, Whitney introduced some spaces that are now known in the literature
as ”Whitney’s cones”. These cones have proven to be very useful for singularity
theory. For instance, Stutz found conditions for a family of germs of complex
analytic sets to be equisingular in terms of the dimensions of some Whitney’s
cones. In this talk, we will talk about the Whitney’s cones of a curve and its
relation with the Lipschitz geometry of space curves.
