The Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science is part of the exact science area of knowledge. The aim of the program is to provide solid conceptual and theoretical training in the different areas of Computer Science, combined with practical training by developing projects and using different types of software tools. The ability to adapt to the evolution of computing, both in theoretical/methodological and technological terms, is an essential aspect that the program considers when offering courses and preparing professionals in this area.

WHAT WILL YOU STUDY?

Math, programming languages and hardware and software systems are essentially the areas that you will study over five years. In this period, you will also see courses such as databases, networks, robotics, computer graphics, multimedia and software engineering. 

In the last year of the course, you must complete two course completion papers, which may be in a company (supervised internship) or at a university or research center (undergraduate project). You can carry out both modalities abroad during an exchange program. You can also undertake a project in your own company.

The course equips you with the necessary skills and a foundation to easily engage and follow different ways of applying computing, among which we highlight the following: public and private companies in the area of computing, practicing a wide range of professions well-known in the area. Among those are software and systems analysts, software engineer, systems developer, database consultant, systems implementation, software designer, programmer, etc.; entrepreneurship in the area of computing, undertaking business initiatives in computing, setting up companies or even designing innovations in the market; an academic career in computing, working as a researcher or university professor.
