Interests: Multimedia (I-TV, Video Segmentation, 3D Video), Multimedia
Personalization, Ubiquitous Computing (Context-Aware Computing, in special).
Former research projects:
- GINGA Project: this project aims for an
extension of the SBTVD (Sistema Brasileiro de TV Digital) middleware, named Ginga. The extension will allows development of more
interactive applications, which are supposed to be video object-based
interactive, enabling users to perform web-like interactions with the
content they are watching. GINGA is supported by FINEP agency.
- the TIDIA-eLearning Project
Project, a cooperation effort among 15 research
laboratories from the state of Sao
Paulo, which aims at building software
infrastructure for supporting learning activities in the context of a
high-speed network. TIDIA-Ae is supported by FAPESP agency.
- TIDIA KyaTera Project: aims the research, development
and delivery of an optical fiber network linking excellence research
centers of the Sao Paulo
state. That network is academic in spirit and will work at terabytes
rates, underlying innovative applications. TIDIA-Kyatera
is supported by FAPESP agency.
- VIMOS Project: the
VIMOS (Video, Mobility and Security) project aims the research and
development of methods, techniques and innovative applications to allow
video delivering over wireless neteworks with
quality of service (QoS). VIMOS is supported by CNPq (MCT/SEPIN-CNPq-FINEP 01/ 2002) agency.
