The Brazilian AI@50

This year the three communities (IBERAMIA, SBIA and SBRN) celebrate the 50th anniversary of Artificial Intelligence. We have called this event "The Brazilian AI@50".

Therefore, we have created a page named wikIA ("wiki sobre Inteligência Artificial no Brasil") - http://wikia.iv.fapesp.br – to include all the information about the Brazilian AI research groups. The idea behind this page is to offer researchers a site to add and present information about their AI activities and also to compute some statistics about the AI research in Brazil.

WikIA has been created as a project of the FAPESP incubator (http://incubadora.fapesp.br/).

As part of the celebration of the Brazilian AI@50, we are proposing the community a special award: "The AI Scientific Achievement Award" which will be given to honor individuals who have achieved scientific contributions in the field.

These celebrations will start with the talk of the representative of each community at the official dinner.
