EBB and BSB will be at UFABC campus, located at Avenida dos Estados, 5001, Bangu, Santo André, Brazil. There will be transport from the hotels listed in the “Accommodation” section to the UFABC campus.
There are two airports located in the São Paulo Metropolitan area: Congonhas and Cumbica (international). From them it is possible to take taxis to Santo André at fix prices. There are also direct buses (EMTU Company) from the Congonhas airport to Santo André. From the Cumbica airport, it is possible to take a bus (Airport Bus Service Company) to the Tietê bus station, located in São Paulo, and opt for a bus (EMTU) or the subway and train to Santo André. Tietê has a subway station (http://www.metro.sp.gov.br/), where a subway to Luz station must be taken. Once in Luz station, a train to Santo André must be taken (line D, to Rio Grande da Serra - http://www.cptm.sp.gov.br/).
There are buses from several cities to Santo André (a list of companies available).
Another option is to go to São Paulo city and take a subway and a train to Santo André, as previously described.
There are two main options: • Take Avenida dos Estados, which is marginal to the Tamanduateí River, and connects the East Zone of São Paulo city to Santo André. It also connects Santo André to Mauá. • Using the Anchieta highway, take the output at kilometer 16 and follow to Santo André. By train: CPTM company line D connects São Paulo city to Santo André and surrounding cities.
BSB 2008 is organized by UFABC, Brazil. It will be held in Santo André, Brazil.
Santo André is one of the cities that integrate the São Paulo Metropolitan area, which includes the biggest Brazilian city, São Paulo. Although it is mainly urban, Santo André has eleven parks, including an area where the Atlantic Forest is preserved and may be visited.
